STEELATHON

Dear Students of Engineering Colleges and Start-Up Teams,

We are excited to announce that the Institute for Steel Development & Growth (INSDAG) is hosting STEELATHON, a National Innovation Challenge, during the SSTS-CCTS 2025 on June 25–26, 2025, at the Biswa Bangla Exhibition Centre, Kolkata. This initiative aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurial thinking by encouraging participants to develop sustainable start-up ideas that utilize steel in construction and related fields.

We warmly invite students from Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgical, etc.), Architecture, and Business disciplines, as well as student start-ups and incubating teams, to participate. Teams of 1–5 members are encouraged to explore themes such as sustainable construction using steel, secondary steel applications, affordable housing, rural/semi-urban construction innovations, and the integration of AI, Robotics, and BIM in construction. Participants are free to define their own problem statements, ensuring they are relevant, feasible, and sustainable.
